I don't usually like thrift stores. It isn't because I think they're gross or anything like that, it's just because my mother loves them. LOVES them. And growing up we always went to Goodwill, St. Vincent's, Savers, and Salvation Army. Now that I'm a little older though, I actually have an appreciation for thrift stores.
- REASON ONE: Rad t-shirts. I usually look in the men's section for these and usually they're just a few bucks. I'm a t-shirt girl. I love a good dress or skirt, but I'm most comfortable in a t and jeans. And believe me, there are some awesome ones at thrift stores.
- REASON TWO: Books. Dude. I love books. And I've gotten most of mine from the DI. They have a lot of classics that people have gotten rid of, especially high school kids who buy them for their English classes. Also sometimes you can find newer books that are pretty cheap.
- REASON THREE: Shoes. I love shoes even more than I love books. I am a shoe slut. Last week I got two pairs of Converse for $5 each. They were a little beat up, but in a good way. I've gotten loads of shoes from thrift stores (probably more than I needed) and most of them have been priced very well.
Happy thrifting.
